Mission:

Our mission at Gurt Does Sports is to create memorable experiences by bringing together golf culture, a social setting, and a lifestyle.
Also a babysitting environment for husbands.

Oversight:

It will be overseen by an executive board which include our CMO, our CEO & Head Golf Pro, our COO, and Executive Chef.

Accreditation:

Our golf simulators and retail locations within the venue will use the industry standard and use ethical retail practices.

Founded:

We were founded in 2025, with Naples, Florida being the first location.

THE TEAM

CEO & Head Pro Connor Yager (pictured above)

Connor Yager: Connor Yager was born in Baltimore, MD and now resides in High Point, NC. He graduated from High Point University in May 2025 with a degree in Finance. He is the head pro at Gurt Does Sports as well as the CEO. His duties as head pro include running the pro shop, giving lessons, and managing events hosted at the Florida Gurt Does Sports location. As CEO he manages all Gurt Does Sport locations and manages finances as a makeshift CFO and also manages employees, vendors, equipment purchasing, and all utility duties that come with owning an industrial grade building. His passion for golf and business leadership drove him to this position at Gurt Does Sports. He has competed in many golf tournaments in his life including a three-peat of Junior Club Champion at Breton Bay Golf and Country Club in southern Maryland as a child and most recently taking home a trophy and some cash at Swan Point Golf and Country Club in 2025. He dreams of one day just getting to play in any DP or Korn Ferry Tour event and obviously the PGA Tour as unlikely as that may be. His aspirations with this company are to grow as a global powerhouse in the golf entertainment industry and establish locations across the continental United States and a few overseas in Great Britain and West Europe… maybe even Japan. He is very enthusiastic about the present and future of Gurt Does Sports and is excited to get to work.

Jim Lucchesi: Jim Lucchesi grew up in Alexandria, Virginia and now lives in High Point, North Carolina, where the company headquarters is located. He studied business and leadership at High Point University and uses that knowledge every day in his role at GDS.

As COO, he is in charge of making sure the daily operations of the company run smoothly. He focuses on organizing the staff, keeping systems efficient, and making sure every guest has a great experience. Outside of work, Jim enjoys real estate, marketing, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He also enjoys golf and sees it as more than just a game. It’s part of the lifestyle Gurt Does Sports is built around. He is excited to help Gurt Does Sports grow from one location in Naples to new spots across the country. He believes in building a strong team, providing a fun and welcoming environment, and making sure the company continues to improve every year.

Garret Sill: Garrett Sill is the CMO of Gurt Does Sports. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland and has lived just outside Baltimore in Reisterstown, Maryland his whole life outside of getting an education at High Point University. He graduated in May of 2025 with a major in Business Administration in Entrepreneurship. Outside of school and work, he likes to spend time with friends and family and go golfing. He has a passion for cars and sports. He has loved cars since he was a kid. Golf is a big part of his life as he plays and watches as well. His dream courses to play are Pebble Beach, Augusta National, Cypress Point and Oakmont, to name a few. He looks forward to traveling and playing golf courses around the country and the world when he is older. The GDS company will also help him improve his golf game as well. The creation of Gurt Does Sports has been a fun process, from coming up with the idea to putting it into action. Our team has been amazing to work with and we are always looking for ways to improve the company and ourselves.

Landon Lozada: Landon Lozada is the Executive Chef at Gurt Does Sports. He was born in Washington DC, but raised in Garnet Valley PA. He currently resides in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina when he is not acquiring his education in High Point, North Carolina. He recently graduated with a B.A. in Advertising, Public Relations, and Strategic Communications from High Point University and is now pursuing a masters in Communications and Business Leadership there. Landon enjoys many things in his free time. He enjoys golfing, whether it is playing a round or whacking balls at Top Golf. Playing guitar, which has led to the creation of the notorious band The Vape Rats. Enjoying time with his friends is his favorite pastime among many other things. As of right now he has been playing for a few years, facing many ups and downs as he hones his game. He got lessons when he was young, but originally hated it, now one of his biggest lifetime regrets is not sticking with golf as a wee lad. As someone who is constantly looking to improve his golf game, he is eager to work at Gurt Does Sports. His goal is to provide only top quality service in the dining department. Here he feels he can work on his flaws, help others do the same while providing an excellent menu, and have an all around great working experience.
